As many of you know, Apprenticeship Week will take place from 6 - 10 February 2012.
The aim of the week is to improve awareness of Apprenticeships and raise their profile. How is your centre planning get involved?
The National Apprenticeship Service has produced a toolkit to provide more information about the week and how you can get involved. It is now available to download at www.apprenticeships.org.uk.
Pearson is offering a chance to win an iPad 2 - just let them know what your centre is doing for National Apprenticeship Week. For full details, and terms and conditions, visit the website:

There are 2 further training events planned this year for providers offering Apprenticeships in Business Administration, Team Leading & Management and Customer Services. It is available for centres already offering the qualifications or those considering implementing the BTEC Apprenticeships, NVQs and BTEC qualifications. They provide an opportunity to meet subject experts, provide updates on latest developments in the sector and share best practice through interactive workshops and discussions. It also provides a valuable opportunity to network with peers. Here's the link:

I will be attending a Pearson Apprenticeship event on 15/16 June. Is there any feedback you would like me to share with colleagues at the event?
Perhaps you have been using the Business & Administration Assessment Workbooks (and associated learner and assessor resources) and would like to share your experiences with us? You may be making the move to Functional Skills or WorkSkills in this next academic year and would like to know more.
Perhaps the SVs would like to share examples of best practice in assessment, assessment recording and new technologies?
Please let me have your comments by the close of play on Wednesday 14th June.
